What experience does Rootstock start from?
Jonathan started Clean Pro Gutter Cleaning in 2001 as a local service business and built it into a national company without outside money. In 2013, after teaching himself SEO and digital marketing, he began taking it national.
Along the way he built the company’s own CRM and the marketing and operations systems around it. He has founded six companies, none with outside investment.
What did it teach him?
That growing a business and building a good business aren’t the same thing. The company expanded too fast, hit serious cash-flow problems and had to contract from more than 120 markets to 25. It was rebuilt around remote teams, better management, software and automation.
